Lyn’s story

When I met Lyn in March 2025, she had been agoraphobic for around 5 years and barely left her room during that time. 🥺

She was estranged from her family, had survived abusive relationships, was living with complex PTSD after significant grief and loss, had very little support outside of her doctor and psychologist, and certainly wasn’t living the life she wanted.

We initially had a video call to discuss her needs and a way forward. She has since told me she had significant anxiety about joining that call but is very glad she did. 🫶🏻

We didn’t start with huge goals. We started with tiny wins that felt achievable. Those tiny wins built confidence, and confidence built momentum.

Lyn used to love exercise but due to chronic pain from several injuries and a few other health issues, she hadn’t been able to exercise for a long time.

Her first goal was to just start getting out of the house with my support as extreme anxiety had prevented her from doing so.

Within the first couple of weeks, leaving the house became significantly easier. Today, she heads out on her own whenever she needs to. 💫

In April or May we set a goal of walking for 30 minutes by December 2025.

On our very first walk together by the ocean, we ended up walking for 38 minutes. 🚶‍♀️

Before long, those walks turned into hikes through national parks, taking in some of Western Australia’s most beautiful scenery.

Since then we’ve achieved so much together. 💕

She’s received many energy healing sessions, completed countless coaching sessions where we’ve processed the emotions and experiences that had been keeping her stuck, learned Reiki Level 1 (and is about to complete Reiki Level 2), and somewhere along the way we also became craft buddies, making book nooks together. 📖

She’s also completed both From Surviving to Thriving and Project Self Worth (my online coaching programs). Watching her confidence, self-love and boundaries grow throughout those programs has been incredible.

She often tells me she finally understands why she ended up in abusive relationships – and, more importantly, how to make sure she never repeats those patterns.

Lyn has come such a long, long way since we met and I’m so proud of her – I know she’s proud of herself too. 🥰

Her doctor and psychologist can’t believe her progress either, they’re loving our updates!

Lyn still faces many tough times, but this just shows what the right support can achieve.

This is what Lyn has to say about our work together:

“I just want to take a moment to truly thank you for everything you have done for me. Your support, kindness and care have meant more than words can really express. You’ve walked beside me through moments that are heavy and hard, and you’ve reminded me that I don’t have to carry everything alone.

Your patience, encouragement and understanding have helped me find strength on the days I thought I didn’t have any left. What I value the most is the way you genuinely see me – not just my struggles, but also my heart, my hopes, and the parts of me that are still healing.

You’ve given me space to be honest, and you’ve met me with compassion every single time. Please know that your efforts, your time and your care have made a real difference in my life.

I am deeply grateful for the way you’ve shown up for me, and I carry that gratitude with me every day. Thank you, Carly, for being such an important part of my journey. I’m truly blessed to have your support. With heartfelt thanks, Lyn.”

If you’re stuck and struggling at the moment and need support, drop me a message and let’s chat about how coaching and/or energy work can help.

Much love,
