I saw a post on linked in the other day that said “a tight grip is a weak grip” and it got me thinking about all the scenarios in which this is true.
Relationships ~ by holding tightly onto a relationship that may not be aligned with your highest good, you prevent yourself from healing what you need to in order to attract someone who is meant for you.
Jobs ~ we stay too long in jobs that don’t fulfil us or bring us any joy for fear of the unknown.
Children ~ some parents grip tightly to their kids and are over controlling because they’re scared of their kids making mistakes.
Kids need room to become their own person and learn from their own mistakes.
Our youth ~ in this modern world we live in a lot of people are scared of getting older and will do what they can to look younger while not always focusing on making healthy changes to their lifestyle to feel better from the inside out.
By doing this, we’re not really loving enough in the present moment where we can truly enjoy life as it is.
Belief systems ~ even if they’re narrow minded, don’t serve us and are outdated, some people cling to their belief systems and refuse to keep an open mind.
Past emotional pain ~ some people refuse to give up their past baggage, using it as a reason to stay stuck in life, playing the martyr and feeling self righteous about it.
We hold onto people, jobs, homes, friends and many other things that ultimately aren’t right for us in the long run, because holding on tightly feels familiar.
There is fear of the unknown.
“Who will I be, without this partner/job/pain” etc?
A better question to ask might be, “who COULD I be, if I’m willing to let go of this?
Take the leap.
If not now, then when?
Amazing things are on the other side when you’re willing to let go of the bullshit stories you tell yourself about why you can’t make a change.
Be willing to become a better version of yourself.
Be willing to do the hard things for freedom and happiness later on.
Sort your shit out.
As always, if you want a guide on your journey, drop me a message and let’s chat about how coaching and/or energy work can help.
Catcha on the flip side, where we loosened our grip, let go, and attracted a magnificent life.
