At least once a week, somebody says to me “you’re sooooo lucky!”
Luck has nothing to do with it.
I posted a pic of the ocean on one of my usual beach walks close to my house an a guy in Scotland said “you’re so lucky – it’s so cold here.”
Luck has nothing to do with it.
He assumed I’d been raised here in Aus.
I first visited Aus from London when I was 19 and spent the next ten years making a permanent move to Australia a reality.
Then it took 8 years of hard work in Aus to get citizenship.
I used to dream about seeing the ocean from my house and being able to walk on the beach every day.
When my friends at home say to me how lucky I am to live here, they talk about how they’d love to be in my position but then reel off a list of excuses as to why they can’t (won’t) make it happen.
When people witness the magical relationship I’m in, they’ll say I’m lucky.
Again, it took over 20 years of a shitload of personal development to become the kind of person that could attract such an amazing relationship into my life.
My Mum and Dad raised me to know that if I want something enough, I have the power and resources within me to make it happen.
And if I don’t know how to do something, then all I need to do is find someone who can teach me.
None of my life has been about luck – it’s been about me being really clear about what I want and then setting goals to make it happen.
Not every dream has to be a fantasy. You just have to dare to go for it.
What have you been dreaming of doing/being/having lately?
How can you step up today to be the person you need to be to make it happen?
Go for it. Life is too short not to.
As always, if you want a guide on your journey, drop me a message and let’s chat about how coaching and/or energy work can help.
