If it’s true that your number one asset is YOU, then why aren’t you willing to invest in yourself?
All too often I hear people say they really want to {lose weight/feel better/make more money/change their career/insert desire here}, but that they don’t have enough {time/money/confidence/insert objection here}.
Here’s the thing.
If you’re 100% committed to making a change, you’ll do what it takes.
If you don’t have the time, you’ll MAKE the time.
If you don’t have the money, you’ll FIND the money.
If you don’t have the confidence, you’ll either fake it ‘til you make it or FIND someone who can help you increase your confidence, like a Coach.
People come up with all kinds of excuses as to why they shouldn’t invest in themselves. The only thing holding you back is YOU. It only takes a few minutes a day of investing in yourself to see your return in investment.
Here are some examples of times I’ve invested in myself, even when I could have made excuses like not having enough time or money:
💫 I wanted to start lifting heavy weights again but was cautious as I was still recovering from a slipped disc. I hired a Personal Trainer who’d experienced back issues in the past and learned how to work around my weaknesses.
💞 I wanted to detox my body as I was in burnout, to get my energy back on track. I bought a system of products and hired a cleanse coach to get me through this and had such success that I now cleanse Coach others through the same system. I initially put this off for a year not wanting to invest that money but when I finally did I wished I’d done it months before.
💰 When I realised I was holding on to a lot of negative feelings about money like resentment, I joined a money bootcamp. Even though it was a financial stretch for me at the time, it helped me resolve my money mindset and clear debts.
💡 I’ve hired many coaches in the past specialising on the areas I want to develop in. Even though I’m a coach and can coach myself a lot of the time, it’s still a huge benefit for me to hire a coach to grow in different areas of my life. This is always worth the investment.
Another aspect of self-investment is personal development – even if you’re doing this on your own, it still requires a level of time commitment for self-development and reflective practice.
Where are you making excuses to not invest in yourself?
Commit today to changing this.
Where can you make more time? How can you find the cash to hire a coach or trainer? Have you asked if they’ll accept a payment plan? More often than not they will.
Invest in yourself today, for a brighter tomorrow.
