Last week we kicked off our very first of 12 live group coaching calls for my Project Self Worth members.
These calls are always so special for me, and I come away feeling like I’ve had a giant group hug – I honestly feel like I get a big dump of oxytocin and dopamine (feel good hormones) after running these calls. 🥰
The biggest reason for this is the sense of community and connection these calls provide.
Each of these women come with a different story, but all have experienced (or are still experiencing) abusive relationships, and each of them have felt lonely and isolated because of these relationships. 🥺
We have women joining across Australia and New Zealand who are embarking on this journey together of getting to know each other as well as themselves on a much deeper level.
I know what it’s like to be in a relationship and surrounded by people, yet feel completely alone.
That aloneness comes from feeling like nobody understands what you’re going through. 😓
I was so judged by others for staying in my past relationships – only other people who’ve experienced abusive relationships themselves will understand the internal conflict you go through when you stay in a relationship that you know isn’t right for you, for a myriad of reasons; feeling trapped, alone, isolated and unsure how to get out of the situation you’re in.
Now I’ve built a community of women who ALL get it, who are being each others’ cheerleaders on good days and bad days, some of whom have become lifelong friends. 💝
This brings me such an overwhelming sense of joy, because it makes my past totally worth it.
Whatever situation you find yourself in right now; if you’re feeling stuck, lost and alone, find a community of people – or even just one person – who’s been where you are.
Linking arms with other people who truly know what you’re going through is one of the best things you can do for yourself.
One of my members said this week that some of the groups she joined when she was experiencing depression meant she met lifelong friends who she credits with keeping her alive during times she wanted to take her own life.
These days, she’s truly living a great life and what a shame it would have been if she’d cut that short. 😍
THAT is powerful stuff.
With the right team behind you, anything is possible.
If you’re ready to start building your team, drop me a message and let’s chat about how coaching and/or energy work can help you.
Catcha on the slip side,
