What Do You Need To Forgive?

Last week I was chatting with a friend who is on a break from her boyfriend. She was having a hard time dealing with it and was wanting to heal her pain, so I explained a process to her that I’ve found really helpful in the past.

It’s called ho’oponopono and it’s a Hawaiian mantra for reparation, healing and forgiveness.

The process is really simple ~ you bring to mind a certain situation or memory that you’re holding negative feelings about and you repeat the following words:

I love you

I’m sorry

Please forgive me/I forgive you

Thank you

 

You say I love you because it’s the highest vibration there is. You say you’re sorry for the part you played in that situation. You forgive them, ask for forgiveness, and forgive yourself if you need to. And you thank them for the lessons learned from that situation.

I like to write down specific memories and practice forgiveness on them individually. You can do this for sets of memories too ~ about money, ex boyfriends or friends, your boss, current relationship, family.. Anything really.

This is a seriously powerful way to release the negative crap stuck in your energy field relating to those memories. When you hold onto that stuff, it weighs you down, creates the energy of resistance and lack, and holds you back.

By releasing it you feel lighter and more free, and because you’re decluttering on a mental-emotional level, you become more of a magnet to what you want in your life instead.

I’ve been using this technique so much in the last couple of years and have been amazed at the results and particularly in relation to what it’s helped me manifest.
