Which of your alter ego’s is winning? The one that helps you, or hinders you?

 

 

 

 

I was having a chuckle at myself this morning about some of the shit that goes on in my head when my alarm goes off in the morning.

 

If I’m full of energy I bounce out of bed no issues.

 

But let’s face it, who doesn’t like a sleep in?!

 

This morning was one of those mornings where my body was knackered, my head was tired, my bed was warm and cozy and my dog was snuggly.

 

And inside my head it went something like this:

 

*alarm goes off at 5am, Monday morning

 

Best self part: zzzzzzzzz

 

Not best self part: noooooooo no no no no no no

 

Best self part: zzzzzzzzz

 

Not best self part: WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!

 

Best self part: huh?!

 

Not best self part: just hit snooze. Just call in sick. Just say your dog is sick, or your car broke down.

 

Best self part: don’t be a dick, you have way more integrity than that.

 

Not best self part: fuck integrity, this bed is all I want right now. Everybody else does it anyway.

 

Voice of Tony Robbins: GET UP NOW!! FUCK YOUR EXCUSES!! ARE YOU A WINNER OR A LOSER?!?!?!?

 

Not best self part: who is this fucking gigantic dude in your bed yelling at you?? How RUDE!!!

 

Best self part: duuuuuude he is THE coach.

 

**dog farts next to me…

 

Not best self part: ok I’m out! Time to get out of bed!!!! Gawddddd
