An old friend once told me that when you’re struggling to know what to do about a situation, the hardest thing to do is usually the right thing.
I’ve usually found that’s right for whatever it is I’m going through.
It’s harder to have the conversation you need to have than to pretend nothing is wrong and ignore how you feel.
It’s harder to have a break up chat with your partner than continue to say nothing even though you’ve known it’s over for years.
It’s harder to admit you’re wrong than to keep insisting that you’re right.
It’s harder to say sorry when you know you’ve hurt someone than pretend it didn’t happen.
Do you have a hard choice to make? Go ahead and make it. The relief you’ll feel in the long run is worth so much more than the pain of holding on to the wrong choices.
Much love and power to you,
