When you’re facing negative situations in life, how do you handle it?
Do you spend your time and energy complaining about the way things are?
Do you blame other people?
Do you put it in the basket of “nothing will ever work out for me”?
Or do you use it as an indication that you’re not where you want to be, and do something about it?
If you’re stuck in negative emotions right now about a particular situation, it’s because your body/mind/soul is trying to tell you that something is off, that either something needs to change, OR you need to change your mindset around it.
Say for example you’re stuck in a job that you dislike and you’re being really negative about it. Complaining won’t change anything – are you looking for other jobs? Are you being open to all the possible ways it could change for you? Are you willing to take a leap into the unknown?
If you’re not willing to take any action to change it, and decide to stay where you are, then instead focus on changing your mindset around your work. What are all the blessings from it? What can you be grateful for about your job? It provides you with certain skills, maybe some friendships, money coming in – what else?
