Back in 2006, I started my business… well, actually, my biz kinda started itself. 

 

I learned Reiki 1 and 2 in 2006, and went on to learn Reiki Master Teacher in 2007. 

I practiced most days, getting my hands on as many of my friends and fam as I could as I LOVED Reiki.

After a while my friends started recommending me to their friends, strangers to me, and they started asking how much I charged.

No idea! I thought.

I had no idea about a lot of things when I got started, and my business grew itself and took on a life of its own initially. 

 

Back then I was brand new on Facebook (as many were), there was no Instagram, I can’t remember YouTube being around back then, definitely no TikTok or other platforms that are around today. 

I created my first website myself on Wix!

Got my logo designed by a friend and I was away. 

A couple of years later I also started life coaching and added this to my biz too. 

 

I had no clue what I was doing but I learned it along the way…. And definitely learned what not to do! 

 

Over the last 18 years in biz I’ve learned SO much.

What to do… what not to do… who to trust and who not to trust.

I started to put these tools and strategies into a sequence that made sense for my biz and the lifestyle I wanted to create. ❤️‍ 

 

After nearly 18 years in biz and almost as long teaching Reiki workshops, I’ve been finding my Reiki students are asking a lot of the same questions about how to get started with their holistic based businesses.

A lt of them are keen to transform their side hustle/holistic hobby business into a business that generates them proper income.

 

Maybe even to leave their job!

 

Because I committed to my business over the years, every single area of my life has completely changed.

Being a business owner is one of the biggest personal development journeys you’ll ever go on.

There was no magic pill, no silver bullet. 💊 

I didn’t just sit there and wish it all into existence.
