Back in the world of Government jobs, you’d often hear the term being thrown around; “work smarter, not harder”.
I always found this funny given we were all slogging our guts out under a massive workload and this seemed to be a way to make us more “productive” – so we could essentially get even more sht done in our day.
I found it even funnier when they set up yet another working party to figure out how to work smarter, not harder. 🙄
My experience of working parties is a bunch of people sitting around coming up with (often) great ideas, sending it up to the big wigs at the top, and then not much being actioned – or, even worse, nobody in the working party ever making any decisions.
Personally, I prefer the tagline; “work smarter, not dumber”. 🤗
There’s more than enough dumb happening in the world.
I’m also a big fan of the KISS method – keep it simple, stoopid.
Hence why I left my “safe” Government job… 😂
We live in a world of never-ending to-do lists, but how much of it do you actually NEED to do? 🤷🏼♀️
Get on the KISS train and work smarter, not dumber. 🚆
Review all those tasks you do daily, weekly and monthly.
How many of them do you actually need to do yourself? 🧐
What can you outsource (especially if you’re a biz owner!)?
✔️ Can you hire a cleaner? 🧼
✔️ Someone to mow your lawn?
✔️ Get your food delivered or do click and collect?
Save yourself bits of time here and there – especially on those jobs that suck the life out of you.
If you carve out more free time, that leaves more time to spend on things that bring you joy. 😍
An essential ingredient of life! Joy and fun.
How much of these do you have in your life right now?
If the answer is sweet f.a. then maybe you need to stop working dumber.
If you’re sick of the baggage that’s keeping you stuck, drop me a message and let’s chat about how coaching and/or energy work can help.
Catcha on the flip side,
