Are you feeling in resistance mode right now? By that I mean – are you feeling stuck, are you feeling angry or resentful, or any other negative emotions that are keeping you from feeling like you can move forward?
I’ve definitely been there on and off for the last few weeks, brought on by dealing with annoying technical issues with my laptop and social media, but needing to get stuff done nonetheless. I was noticing that when I had to get certain jobs done, I felt very resistant towards it, and that energy of resistance was totally affecting my mojo throughout the day.
I was sat with my awesome web guy in a meeting where we totally needed to get some stuff done, and I noticed we were both in resistance mode and feeling stuck moving forward with all the stuff we needed to do. I said to him “we’re both totally in resistance mode at the moment aren’t we? Let’s just put this stuff to the side for the next few days and work on mopping up that crappy energy instead.”
By putting what you ‘need’ to get done to the side, and instead focusing on raising your vibe and clearing up that crappy energy, it can feel like we aren’t getting done what we need to get done.
But here’s the thing.
If you try to push on with whatever it is you’re doing, but you’re stuck in resistance about it, then it’ll take longer to get done and won’t be done as well as when you’re in flow mode.
If you can just relax with yourself and take the pressure off for a bit by focusing instead of raising your vibe, then you’ll end up coming back to that task with greater focus, clarity, and better energy so you get it done more effectively.
I spent the last few days focusing on raising my vibe with a few friends, and in the end we all felt so good that we got all the other stuff done too – not only that but heaps of extras!
If this resonates with what’s going on for you, try these four things to raise your vibe:
Water
Getting to a body of water is so calming and effective for clearing negative energy. If you can get to the ocean, then do that – I like to dip at least my feet in and as the waves come in I imaging them topping me up with love, and as they wash away I imagine them pulling any negative energy out of my body. Salt water is a powerful transmuter of negative energy, so even if you can’t get to the ocean then have an epsom salts bath (try half a kilo of epsom salts with half a cup of bicarb soda and 10 drops lavender oil – sooooo lush), or if you don’t have a bath just fill a bowl with warm water and rock salt and stick your feet in it, then spend a few minutes focusing on some nice deep relaxing breaths.

EFT
Emotional Freedom Technique, otherwise known as tapping, is a great ‘state change’ – it neutralises the negative emotions you’re experiencing helping you to get unstuck. Whenever my vibe is a bit off I do this video by Brad Yates to raise my vibration.
Decluttering
Decluttering is one of my fave tools whenever I feel a bit off. Start small – pick a kitchen drawer or your bathroom cabinet and before you know it you’ll have decluttered half your wardrobe. You’d be surprised how much mental and emotional energy this frees up and so it’s a great tool to get unstuck.
Forgiveness
This is hands down my fave tool ever. I have about 3 different ways that I do forgiveness work that I teach in detail to all of my clients, but to find out more about how I like to do forgiveness, check out an interview I did about it here.
There are loads of other ways you can feel better that are quick and easy. The 4 steps above are my go-to non-negotiables when I feel like I’ve lost my flow or feel a bit stuck, but there are lots more I use too depending on the day or how I’m feeling.
