A couple of weeks ago on my trip home to London, I was invited by my sister-in-law to her weekly Wednesday rendezvous with a group of other mums who are running their own businesses – the mumpreneurs. I was chuffed to attend this meeting as, being a step-mumma I thought it would be great to see how other mums manage to work their business around their families. In particular, my sister-in-law had my nephew less than a year ago and…
As another year draws closer to its end, I find myself reflecting on the things I have learned in 2013. I find it a lovely exercise to pause and reflect at the end of the year, and start planning for what I want to manifest next year. 1. Last week I went to the Suicide Prevention Forum held in Perth, Western Australia by One Life and LifeLine. Now this isn’t my usual kind of blog and really not a whole lot to do with coaching. In the last few months I have become even more aware of the toxins I am putting in my body, around my home, how to manage the toxins in our environment, and also how to protect yourself from a build up of emotional toxins. I have always been aware of it but never that bothered enough to do anything much about it, other than occasionally contemplate eating more organic food and having the occasional veggie juice. After a…
Recently I read an article written by the gorgeously inspiring Jess Ainscough, otherwise known as The Wellness Warrior. I love Jess’s blogs and I especially loved this one as it focused on SELF LOVE. Jess talked about every Sunday being a “Self-Centred Sunday” where you basically spend the entire day dedicated to self care and self love. This really resonated for me on a number of levels as this has been a real issue for me up until this year.…
